During the Fiesta de las Golondrinas (Festival of the Swallows), the Fiesta Association presents a variety of events to the community which include: the Taste of San Juan, Kids Pet Parade, El Presidenté Ball, Fiesta Grandé, Hoos’Gow Day (marauding through town and arresting anyone who looks needs it, and of course the Swallows’ Day Parade and Mercado.
To put on these events the Fiesta Association needs help with organizing and staffing the events leading up to the biggest event, the Swallows’ Day Parade. On parade day, we have well over 200 volunteers helping with traffic control, parade line-up and staging, as well as the Swallows’ Day Mercado (an open air market place held on parade day).
